Total Time: 10 minutes + Cooling

3 cups of Oil (Canola, Corn, Peanut or Olive Oil)
¼ cups of hot red chilies (dried & crushed)

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 8oz brick of Cream Cheese, softened
4 C Powdered Sugar

Waldorf Red Cake

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk

You need to make sure your jars and lids and caps are sterilized.  I run them through the dishwasher.
This recipe makes 2 quarts. I use 8 oz. jars, usually.  And I usually double the recipe. A double recipe will make about 15 jars.

Fudge Frosting

FUDGE FROSTING
In the top of a double boiler over boiling water melt:
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter
Keep water boiling while you add:
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/3 cup sour cream
2 T. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Cook only until dissolved. (Mixture will harden like fudge if overcooked.)
