Chocolate Pound Cake Recipe

CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE

                        Grandma Watkins

 

Cream together:

          ¾ lb. butter (3 cubes)

          3 cups sugar

 

Add one at a time and mix well after each addition:

          5 eggs

 

Sift together:

          3 cups flour

          ½ tsp. baking powder

          ½ tsp. salt

          4 T. cocoa

 

Add alternately with

          1 cup milk

          1 T. vanilla

 

Bake in a well-greased and floured tube pan or bundt pan.

325°  1 hour 20 minutes.
